Trips

Abbotsford, Sir Walter Scott's magnificent home in Scotland, with its beautiful gardens, fishing beat and collection of Scott's possessions appeals to many people and appears in many of our itineraries. For we try to discover new places for you to enjoy on our Themed trips. Our trips are usually scheduled to include 2 weekends so you get as much time as possible for your limited vacation days.
Our garden trips visit well-known gardens, such as Sissinghurst, Hidcote Manor and Great Dixter. We also find private gardens, such as Henry Peto's Iford, and with our membership in the Royal Horticulture Society and the National Trust, you discover their gardens, such as RHS Wisley, Snowshill Manor and Chalfield Manor.
Quilting trips both in Britain and America include sightseeing as well as visits with local quilt guilds and places you "must see" like Keepsake Quilting in America or the American Museum in Bath or Liberty of London. We also try to include quilt shows whenever possible.
When we schedule a writing or book club trip, we visit places like Abbotsford or Hemingford Grey Manor, the home of Lucy Boston, quilter and children's book writer. Writers travel with us and offer workshops.
